Various factors need to be taken into consideration when deciding on which elastics to purchase: the size and model of your fins, the type and size of your boots and how you are accustomed to wearing your fins – with your feet all the way inside your fins or with part of your heel over the back edge.

Being as it’s rather difficult to combine these three factors systematically, we suggest following the procedure indicated in the image to help you decide. The steps to be performed are as follows:

1) Place your boot, preferably stuffed with something to simulate the presence of your foot, inside your fin and measure the distance from the centre of one fin post round the back of the boot to the centre of the other post on your fin.

2) Make a note of the measurement and refer to the table to identify the length of elastic you require.
